I am a divorced woman that joined a couple of hiv sites to find someone to meet. I get a good amount of responses or guys checking on my ad and when we talk they just "love me". But then they check out my pic. Gee, all of a sudden they don't "love me" anymore. I am not that bad looking and I am short and overweight but I HAVE THE BEST PERSONALITY AND HEART ANY MAN COULD ASK FOR, BUT NO ONE GIVES ME A SHOT BECAUSE I TAKE BAD PICS? GIVE ME A BREAK GUYS! Not every woman is Cindy Crawford. START THE DARN PROCESS OFF BY BEING HONEST! DON'T SAY ONE THING AND THEN DO ANOTHER. If you are looking for a hot barbie doll then SAY that you are looking for a hot barbie doll. Don't say that you just want to find someone to love unconditionally who has the same interests. I know that physical attraction is very important. But when you pass on the ones that really do have a heart of gold and will be devoted and true to you just because she isn't a size 0 and look like she is 22, then you are just cheating yourself. Give the average girls a shot for goodness sake. Do you honestly expect people that live with this disease to look like they did back in their twenty's? Come on! HIV and the meds do strange things to all of us in one way or another. We can't all look like hotties forever.So stop being so superficial and give us average women a chance!
